Acupuncture
Emma Rengel received her Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and Doctorate of Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). She is a nationally certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. During her education, she completed internships at the New England School of Acupuncture Treatment Center, Boston Medical Center, and the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans’ Hospital. In addition to her education at NESA, Emma has completed the Fundamentals of Oncology Acupuncture Course through Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Before opening Edelweiss Acupuncture and Wellness, Emma was a full-time acupuncturist at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. She treated patients in their outpatient clinic as well as at the Mass General Brigham Cancer Center. She is addionally an adjunct faculty member at NESA.
Emma enjoys spending time in the outdoors and traveling. Her favorite adventures have been hiking in the Swiss Alps and teaching English in Vietnam. Her experience in Vietnam inspired her to complete a Master of Education degree. Emma’s path to becoming an acupuncturist began while she was an ESL teacher. When classes went remote during the COVID pandemic, Emma began taking online yoga classes and completed a yoga teacher training. During this time, she was introduced to reiki energy healing and became a reiki master.
From a very early age, Emma was drawn to caring for others. Her mother is a nurse and Emma would observe her caring for her patients, family, and friends throughout the years. Emma saw healing as a way of life. Her experiences with yoga and reiki led Emma to think about shifting her career to work in a more meaningful way with healing. She found acupuncture to be a perfect fit for her.
How It Began
Edelweiss Acupuncture and Wellness LLC started from a personal passion for a holistic, patient-centered approach to wellness, creating a space where comprehensive care and compassion meet. Edelweiss is the national flower of Switzerland, a place tied to my family roots. Beyond its beauty, the edelweiss symbolizes resilience, strength, and courage—qualities I hope to inspire in everyone who walks through my practice’s doors.
